During this mandate, the main challenge in developing the patient compartment for this ambulance was to design an ergonomic layout that allowed paramedics being able to do medical manoeuvres and have access to their equipment while being seated in special mobile seats with seatbelts buckled down.
The main tasks were to conduct user research, do preliminary compartment design and layout, validate ergonomics and usability and, finally, build a conceptual 3D model for further developments.
This phase of the project was done with the design firm Brio Innovation and Demers Ambulances.
